The Business Analyst’s Crash Course/Workshop

Sponsored by Enterprise Applications & Solutions Integration (EASI) with the objective of supporting strong partnerships with UofT’s Divisions, this 2-day workshop is an immersion course in all the key techniques and competencies of Business Analysis, presented through lectures and hands-on group work.  It is a practical course covering all aspects of the Business Analyst role – from requirements gathering to QA support.  The emphasis of the course is on learning practical tools and techniques that can immediately be put to use in project work and in interactions with stakeholders, whether it be local to the Division or in partnership with EASI/ITS initiatives.

The course is applicable to all those serving a Business Analysis (BA) function – whether as part of other duties or as a dedicated role: New BA practitioners gain hands-on experience in applying Business Analysis techniques, while more experienced BAs are able to upgrade their skills and learn how all of the techniques fit together.   Each trainee receives a hard copy of all course materials as well as a Job Aids booklet, containing useful templates, examples, guidelines and glossaries for use back on the job.

Audience: Entry level or experienced Business Analysts; IT analysts; self-taught Business Analysts wanting a course that fills in the gaps and formally puts all the pieces together; Systems Analysts or Programmers interested in expanding their role into the business area

Dates: August 18 -19, 2016 9am-5pm
Please note this is a 2 day event. When you register you are committed to attending this workshop for both days.
