Back Care Workshop

Part of Celebrate It!

Come and learn how to effectively engage your core and back musculature to improve posture and lift safely and effectively and avoid getting injured. In this seminar, you will learn the basics in how your back moves and you will get an opportunity to get some practical tips in how to look after your back. You will learn how to successfully transfer this knowledge to your exercise routine, daily activity and workplace.

 

Note: The seminar might include some practical exercises but participants are not required to participate or bring athletic attire. All levels of ability are welcome to attend.

Douglas

Douglas is the coordinator, personal training & nutrition at the FKPE. Douglas is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and certified nutritionist and has overseen the personal training program at the FKPE for the past seven years.

Josh

Is a personal trainer and nutritionist at the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education. He promotes evidence-based injury prevention strategies and training methods.  He has a strong background in Biology, Public Health, Kinesiology and many years of coaching experience.
