HRIS: Other University Appointments HR 10-100

The HRIS Other University Appointments Course requires learners to have a general understanding of navigating and using the functions on the HRIS system.  Administrative staff responsible for processing HR employment and payment data for Other University staff groups within their department/division should attend this course to acquire the skills needed to display, enter and maintain Other University Appointment employee records and payment data in HRIS.


At the end of the session, learners will be able to:

  • Discuss their understanding of Other University Appointments at the University as it relates to pay
  • Apply a common understanding of hiring, adding/ending Other University Appointments, cross-appointing, terminating, maintaining records, entering payments, deactivating, reactivating and rehiring employees in the HRIS system using procedure documentation as a tool
  • Navigate the Human Resources and Equity website and other supporting sites to find all pertaining Other University Appointment policies and instructions


e-Token - For this particular course the attendee should have an e-Token and ensure that it is activated prior to coming to the course. If you do not have an e-Token assigned to you, please inform the instructor and someone will log you in when you arrive. Information on obtaining and activating an e-Token can be found on the Information Technology Services website or by speaking to your department administrator.
