Computer Skills Assessment


When would I use a computer skills assessment? Prior to registering for a course and to decide what level to enroll, you can complete a computer skills assessment to assess your level of skill in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other desktop applications.

What is involved in the assessment? The software skills assessments have a series of questions to answer within a time limit. The results show skill level, proficiency and efficiency. The assessment results are confidential and will only be shared by ODLC at  your request.

As a manager, how can I have a candidate's skills assessed during the hiring process? Managers can use online assessments to screen job applications and assist in making hiring decisions. Assessment areas include clerical skills, Office suite, financial math, data entry, and accounting, customer service.
